A Natural Sleep Awaits
What exactly is latex? Latex is rubber and rubber is latex. Most of it comes from trees call the Hevea Brasilienis in South America. A tree takes about five years to grow and is productive for about 30 years. If you’ve ever seen or heard of how maple syrup is made, you already have the perfect model for harvesting latex. Make a modest slit in the bark and the let it drip into a bucket. Simple, natural and sustaining.
The Talalay process developed by Leon, Joseph and Anselm Talalay is a method of producing molded pieces of latex foam rubber using no synthetic materials. The liquid latex rubber base is introduced to a closed mold that has been vacuumed of air. The mold is then frozen to stabilize the cell structure and then heated to cure the rubber. Talalay latex production technology was developed in the 1940’s and first produced in England, Canada and here in the U.S. Talalay latex continues to produce the epitome of cloud-like pressure relief and remarkably controlled support.
Well suited to our San Diego climate of warm summers and cool winters, Talalay latex has an almost mystic ability to maintain your body’s perfect temperature for the sleep cycle stage you’re experiencing. Most experts agree that Latex is a healthy alternative to other mattress products for a number of important reasons. Latex is anti-microbial, anti-fungal and resistant to dust mites among many other attributes. No wonder so many people have remained proud, and comfortable, owners of latex mattresses for decades.
Rejuvenate your sleep with pure Talalay Latex.
